My son Ellis passed away on the 12 February this year. Before his funeral was even arranged, a group of his best friends said they intended to honour him, cycling from John O’Groats to Land's End. Ellis worked for Sigma Sports in Oakham. He was a keen cyclist himself, hoping one day to take part in the transplant games.

GEMS Charity & Leicestershire Hospital Charities are seeking to raise 500k to fund a Chemotherapy Treatment Suite Extension at Leicestershire Royal Infirmary. GEMS Charity and Leicester Hospitals Charity are teaming up to raise vital funds to expand the chemotherapy suite at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. LRI’s adult cancer treatment services have significantly outgrown their capacity.

On Thursday 27 May Kibworth Golf Club members Graham Thompson and John Addison completed their 12 hour, 54 hole golf challenge in aid of LOROS. The challenge was in memory of past members Nick Lacey and Rod Mitchell who sadly passed away within 24 hours of each other at LOROS Hospice last October.

As you may know, we provide a foodbank and clothes bank at The Well on Kibworth High Street. Additionally, the charity is now pioneering other ways of assisting people to find their own way forward in life.

Kevin Messenger, John Allen, Scott Pilkington and Neil Hammond have completed numerous challenges for charity in the past. This year their new found love of golf sees them doing it again! They are going to play 72 holes in one day at Kibworth Golf Club on Friday 2 July to raise money for Prostate Cancer.

It is the Market Harborough Group’s 50th Anniversary this year 2021. We were looking forward to a special event. As this is highly unlikely, we thought that supporters may be more comfortable with smaller gatherings.
