After 17 years of framing for artists, businesses and homeowners, we’re delighted to have recently passed on the baton of On the Edge Picture Framing to new enthusiastic and younger owners!

It’s 2022 midsummer and Kibworth welcomes its second bookshop, Daker Books, which is situated in the old Kibworth Books premises.  Daker is Debbie’s grandmother’s maiden name. Kibworth Books has moved to The Barn further down the High Street to where Mon Amie used to occupy.

After running a volunteer recruitment campaign over the last couple of months, we’ve taken on a few more people to work in our café. This means we can finally extend our opening hours, which is great.

The ribbon has been cut on the revamped Central England Co-op store in Kibworth. It has been transformed with a major investment to create a more modern and sustainable local community food store. Its transformation has created a contemporary store to meet the shopping needs of customers and members.

At Bridge 67 Butchers we only use the best quality award winning pork from our farm, natural seasonings and natural skins to produce our fabulous tasting sausages which are freshly made each week by our fantastic butchers.

After 17 successful years in Kibworth, Louise Faye and her team have launched a new venture at number 3, Stable Block, Union Wharf in Market Harborough.

Once again we are looking forward to welcoming you into our Calving and Lambing Sheds at our Annual Open Day.

Plans are well underway for the opening of our new Deli and Homewares Store, Cheese & Pickle, at Pennbury Farm in Great Glen.

Kibworth’s award-winning bookshop will be moving into larger premises in February this year. This will provide the business with over three times as much space. Kibworth Books was launched in December 2009 by Debbie James at 52 High Street in the attractive south Leicestershire village. They now have a team of six working both on the shop floor and behind the scenes. In 2016, the shop doubled in size by taking on a second storey, converting it from an apartment into two more book-lined rooms. Now the whole bookshop will move just metres down the road to ‘The Barn’ at 29 High Street.

There is a familiar saying that you shouldn’t look back as you are no longer going that way. As the new year begins, we have taken a look at our partnership with local charity, the Bodie Hodges Foundation, over 2021.

The Kid Collective has arrived in Kibworth! We are an independent toy and gift retailer based locally and have been selling online for over three years. We are excited to bring our products to life in a pop-up shop that is full of wonderful toys waiting to be discovered. You can find us on Station Street in Kibworth until 23 December.
