EV Car Club – Invitation to a public meeting

Kibworth Beauchamp Parish Council are exploring the opportunity with Green Fox Community Energy Co-operative to seek out funding for an Electric Car Club. Successful models of how it can work are Derwent Valley and Tisbury Car Clubs and at https://www.como.org.uk/community-car-sharing

This could:

  • Make personal transport accessible (think “pay-as-you-go”)
  • Save you the running costs of an under-utilised car
  • Fill a need left by public transport provision
  • Ease traffic congestion and free up space in the village
  • Reduce pollution
  • Allow you to drive an electric car without investing in the upfront costs

38 residents of Kibworth completed a survey earlier this year that has encouraged us to take the next step.  The survey is still open here https://forms.gle/DdydLCAPvdkSWECF6.

There will be a meeting for all in The Studio at Kibworth Grammar School Hall at 7 p.m. on Thursday 13th October for all interested. Please come!
