In April we welcomed Carolyn Boulter who showed us how to make an owl paperweight. Being well-organised, Carolyn brought along some owls she had made earlier. She had also prepared about 50 kits containing everything we needed, right down to a needle ready-threaded with cotton to match the fabric in each kit. It must have taken her ages! Members selected the kit they liked according to their colour preference.

After running a volunteer recruitment campaign over the last couple of months, we’ve taken on a few more people to work in our café. This means we can finally extend our opening hours, which is great.

After a two year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Blaston Show is back, bigger and better than ever. As usual it will run on the last Sunday of June, this year 26 June.

Our Plant and Seed Sale will be on Saturday 21 May, 10am - 12noon

Come and enter your pooch into our Family Dog Show competition for a bit of fun on Saturday 7 May Fleckney Village Green. £2 per entry per class, entries from 1pm with a 2pm start
