At the January Kibworth Beauchamp Parish Council meeting there was a discussion about both parking issues and traffic congestion in the centre of the village that had been raised by a resident.

Kelvin was a much loved son and brother and a good friend to many. He always gave of his time and effort freely, he found a love of growing plants and from this filled many hanging baskets, tubs and pots to sell for charity. GEMS was his main one and he raised a great deal over the past years.

Wildlife is my passion. Moving to Kibworth eight years ago a big priority for us was access to nature. We are so fortunate to live in an area that is close to beautiful countryside, being only a few minutes’ walk away from peaceful lanes.

Many people in the village may be wondering, “Why aren’t the clocks working on the church?”

Children form Kibworth Primary School raised the alarm when they heard distressed sounds coming from the railway line near Warwick Road Park. On closer inspection they found a small deer trapped in the railway railings near the ‘tin bridge’. They alerted the fire brigade who with the help of the RSPCA managed to free the deer and take it away to be checked by their vets. The children (photographed) were calm in their approach and should be applauded for acting quickly to save this distressed animal.
