In December The Welcome Kitchen was delighted to receive a cheque from Platform Housing Group for £320. The money was greatly appreciated as it covered the Kibworth Community Hub hall rental for the eight weeks running up to Christmas. A very welcome boost to our funds.

Our members have just returned from our annual visit to Potters Resort, Hopton-on-Sea, where the World Indoor Bowls Championships are taking place. As always, we were really impressed by the bowling skills demonstrated and hope we can be as good one day! We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and were able to partake in a wide range of other activities. These included snooker, swimming, quizzes, line dancing and even Morris dancing. The evening entertainment was first class and the food plentiful.

Our next meeting will be on Thursday 1 February at the Methodist Chapel Hall. Doors open at 2pm for a cup of coffee or tea followed at 2.30pm by a talk given by John Gilson entitled Tulip Time.
