Join us this summer for services to suit everyone, from traditional communion to family-friendly.

This year Hallaton Museum is opening its doors to a new exhibition ‘Where there’s a Will, there’s a Way’, an incredible insight to a story which has never been told before.

The Spinners are looking forward to a summer break from coaching, and will restart at 6.45pm to 8.15pm on Monday 31 July and continue weekly on Mondays 7, 14 and 21August as well as Monday 4 September.

This is the time when social media is full of ‘six week shred challenges’ or ‘get bikini ready with our three week challenge’ etc.

Citizens of Kibworth did you hear St Wilfrid’s church bells being rung on Saturday 10 June for an hour between 4.10 and 5.10pm? We are sure many of you thought there was a wedding on that sunny afternoon. Well you would be wrong. In fact it was The Whiting Society of Ringers- a belting group who had arranged to come to Kibworth to ring the changes of the bells of St Wilfrid’s church. A wonderfully British, but essentially English sound.

It’s continued to be a busy spring for Fleckney & Kibworth Running Club, with members taking part in plenty of events ahead of the summer.

On Saturday 12 August, 2-4pm

During the summer months, The Well will continue to offer support to residents of Kibworth and surrounding villages through our free advice drop-ins and food bank.  And of course, our café and pre-loved clothes shop will be open as usual.

To highlight the problems facing the world’s marine wildlife, the award-winning Wistow Maze has been designed in the shape of a Sea Turtle.

We have come to the end of another season of your Kibworth & District Chronicle.  We are taking a two month break now but will return in September. Before we go however we thank the legions of volunteers who write, assemble, read through, take photos, and deliver your Chronicle. Be they old or young, they all deserve a big thank you from the Chairman, Editor and Management Team. So THANK YOU. You are a great team!

Once again cream teas will be available between 3pm and 5pm in St Peter’s at Church Langton commencing Saturday 1 July and then Sunday 2 July and every Sunday until early September.

As part of a national initiative to get more young children playing tennis we recently ran three discounted six-week tennis coaching courses for children aged between 3 and 10.

Kibworth and District u3a orchestrates interest groups and social events for people that are no longer in full-time work.

Kibworth Village Hall committee were pleased to put on afternoon tea for some of our senior residents over the Coronation weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed hosting them, and do hope they enjoyed the event too.
