The Kibworth Art Lovers are emerging from the latency imposed by Covid restrictions with an exhibition of their work to be held, by kind invitation of Roger and Nan Whiteway, at their venue opposite the Kibworth Co-op. The exhibition will take place on Friday 24, Saturday 25, and Sunday 26 September and will feature original paintings for viewing and for sale.

There have been 3 further races in the Reunion League since our last update. Race 2 in the series was the Joy Cann 5 Mile race hosted by Huncote Harriers. Ten club members were in a field of over 500, with a trio of Ladies leading the way, Lorna Muskett, Abby Davies and Bernadette Owen (1st in Age Category.) The men’s contingent saw Kirit Patel back first, with John Redfearn, Alan Gibson, Jamie Owen and Andy Kemp also completing. Emma Boyd and League Race debutant Tracey Coates made up the Ladies Team.

As we reach the business end of the 2021 season, our first senior team silverware of the season has made its way back to Kibworth Cricket Club. We played Loughborough Town at Leicester County Cricket Club on a fantastic Sunday afternoon. Our 12 man squad, made up of 7 players that have come through the juniors at Kibworth Cricket Club, had a superb day winning by 8 wickets.

Last Minute Theatre have taken the decision to cancel our Quizaret on Saturday 18 September. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to live theatre in January 2022 with our pantomime.

The season is in full flow and the club has had a great start. The 1st XI and 2nd XI both sit top of their respective divisions after nine games, with the 1st XI also moving into the Quarter Final stages of the T20 and County Cups.
