Kibworth Windmill Update Jun 21

In April we reported that the Kibworth windmill would be repaired during the second half of the year. As a first step, scaffolding has been erected and been covered in protective sheeting while work is in progress. Preparatory work will start by the end of June and the main work in August. A viewing platform has been erected and visitors will, on certain occasions, be able to see what is happening. Details will be announced later. As Kibworth windmill is on private land and the work is taking place on an enclosed site, it will not be possible to visit any other times.

Kibworth Bowls Club - June 2021

Kibworth Bowls Club are holding an OPEN DAY on Sunday 27th June from 10:30am to 3pm. This is open to all ages; the whole family is welcome. Please come and see our facilities and try bowling. All we need from you is your attendance wearing flat shoes or trainers. We have bowls etc. available. Tea/Coffee will be available and our Bar will be open.

I have in front of me two of my most treasured possessions, both books. One is the very first 'Doctor Who Annual (1965) and the other is a novel by the science fiction writer and visionary, Arthur C Clarke. The story is called ‘The City and the Stars’. I bought it in 1970 and still have that original copy.
