The Great Escape, 12A

This month we are announcing the launch of a new social games group. It is run by the Local Area Coordinator, Amy. The first session will take place on the 6 February. Thereafter it will be held on the first and third Tuesday of the month for a couple of hours. It’s a free, friendly group for anyone who would like to meet new people in a relaxed environment. Bring your favourite games to play with others. There’s no need to book, you can just turn up.

Life continues to be busy at the Hub.

During my teaching years I sat through hundreds of school assemblies. Most of them have long been forgotten, but two stick in my mind and always will.

Once Christmas commitments have been fulfilled, gardeners traditionally use January and February to plan for the new growing year. In most domestic gardens we are thinking small scale, from microscopic fungi and bacteria that provide healthy soils, through beneficial insects that might be pollinators or pest controllers, on to garden birds which can also help us with pest control.
