It’s been a steady December with runners taking part in winter races as well attending club runs – including a Christmas lights tour of Leicester city!

Our members have just returned from a weekend away at Potters Resort, Hopton-on-Sea. The venue for the World Indoor Bowls Championships. We greatly enjoyed being spectators at the bowls matches. We were also able to partake in many other activities including snooker, golf, quizzes, line dancing and even Morris dancing. The evening entertainment was first class and the food (too) plentiful! I put on 4lb over the 3 days!

We recently held our annual Presentation Evening at the Crown Inn, Tur Langton where we enjoyed a delicious carvery and dessert.

Fleckney Spinner Table Tennis Club has weekly sessions on Saturday mornings, 11.15am- 12.45pm and coaching every other Tuesday 5.00pm-6.40pm from Level 2 coach, Andy Wright, assisted by a Level 1 coach.

Throughout autumn and now into winter, club runners have represented the club well in a variety of races and events. 

It has been an action packed term of sport at Kibworth Mead Academy. Mr Hill settled in as the new Head of PE, a virtually all new PE department inspired a new dawn of sporting success and participation.

Traditionally Christmas is a time to reflect on the year past and look to the future.
There have been many changes throughout the year too numerous to mention but we have still enjoyed a fabulous year and many thanks go to our team of green keepers who have done a sterling job keeping the course in pristine condition during the summer heatwave and more recently the extreme rainfall.

If you’d like to have a go at this all-weather indoor sport, the Fleckney Spinners Table Tennis Club has weekly sessions on Saturdays 11.15am to 12.45pm with (optional) coaching on 17 December and 7 and 21 January.

Local primary school teacher Harriet Evans, enjoyed a very successful night at Welland Valley Cycling club’s annual awards event. This was held at Kibworth Cricket Club.
