Well, 2020 certainly hasn’t been the year for travel but I think we’ve all discovered somewhere new while we’ve stayed closer to home. Whether it was walking on the golf course, wandering down a lane we’d never noticed or picking up a takeaway from a restaurant or pub we’d never tried before. Delivering books around the village, we definitely found many previously untrodden paths!

Good news - the pubs, cafes and restaurants of Kibworth Beauchamp, Harcourt, Smeeton and the neighbouring villages are open after suitable precautions have been taken.

The Grammar School Hall re-opened for business on 1 September.

The Well in 45 High Street, Kibworth, a Christian independent registered charity providing a caring hub for Kibworth and beyond, is looking for volunteers to work in their shop and Cafe.

Some of you will, through your own experience or by reading the many comments on social media, be aware that it is proving difficult for some to get through to the South Leicestershire Medical Group by phone.

There is a saying in the bible that it is better to give than to receive. I think when you are a child you might be puzzled by this but as you grow older you see how true it is.

Just before lockdown the Kibworth Isolation Relief Team was formed to help people who are isolating/vulnerable.
