Our February meeting featured a talk about Chocolate by Tom Phillips. Tom, a former chef turned chocolatier, is now retired after over 30 years experience. He notably worked at his own business, Hannah’s Chocolates in Quorn. It was obvious his love of all things chocolate is still strong!

Fleckney and Kibworth Running Club are holding a Leicestershire Road Running League Event.

My personal DofE expedition experience was an emotional rollercoaster with quite literally ups and downs. We began our day bright and early meeting our assigned team leaders at our starting point. They gave us our maps, compass, emergency phone and our mission to create a playlist to represent our expedition.

It’s been a great start to 2023 for F&K. There’s been plenty of runners attending our Club Nights, including our couch to 5K, as well as some members taking part in the third race of the Derby Runner Cross Country league.
We now have two more XC Events to go, as we begin to approach the Road Running League races.

Thursday 2 March at the Methodist Chapel Hall, Great Glen.

Our first meeting of the year was testing the ‘little grey cells’ of members of Illston on the Hill WI. We all enjoyed a quiz, some music, current affairs, musicals, sorting out first letters of villages, tv programmes, flowers and much more.

The England Golf Awards celebrate all that’s great about the game we love – from volunteers to elite performers, juniors to lifetime achievers.
