A   H U G E  T H A N K   Y O U to all the Mowsley villagers and our friends who came to our Macmillan Coffee Morning. We hope you all enjoyed it.

The annual cake sale to raise funds for charity took place on the Centurion Place estate on Saturday 10 September. This was the third year we have held this event. It was once again very successful and well supported by the residents baking home-made goodies. 

Although we often have invited speakers to present talks on specific topics, our most recent MU meeting in the church hall on Thursday 1 September followed our usual church service. However, on this particular occasion over a cup of tea and biscuits, we had a wonderful time of spontaneous fellowship and heartfelt sharing of experiences, with the opportunity to recall some important memories from events in our lives.

Will be holding a Pop up Charity Shop at the hospital, at the of rear of Bird's Barn, Fleckney Road Kibworth LE8 0HJ.

So, as we wave goodbye to summer, we’re starting to glimpse the early signs of autumn.  We hope you all had a lovely summer.  It was certainly hot and sunny at times, in fact, too hot and sunny! 

Well, what a summer! The heat hasn’t deterred the wonderful people and businesses of Kibworth and surrounding areas showing great support for GEMS charity. The generosity and kindness never seems to fade.

Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital will be holding a fundraising meal on Thursday 13 October at The Shires Inn, Peatling Parva LE17 5PU

We wanted to let you know that the New Normal cancer support group WILL be continuing throughout the summer months.

We hope everyone had an enjoyable Platinum Jubilee weekend. Whether it was visiting family, having a street party, or coming along to the community event at Smeeton Road rec.

Once again Home-Start South Leicestershire, based in Market Harborough, are helping families with young children across the whole Harborough District. We are looking for new volunteers to join our friendly team. The next training course starts this coming September.

GEMS Charity would like to thank Paul Ward of Kibworth Carpets. He and his family gave a kind donation of £719.01 in memory of Claire Ward. The online donations for which have yet to be received. This is a great amount, which goes to show how much loved Claire was. 

The Burton Overy Crafters started meeting in the Village Hall in September 2021. The idea was for like minded people to get together to enjoy crafts and friendship.

We had our Rotary Charity Golf Day on Friday 10 June at Kibworth Golf Club.
