Has food and drink been consumed to excess in gatherings at Christmas? Or, has too little been eaten and drunk - is this latter possible at Christmas? For many this midwinter (midwiner?) festival provides a welcome relief from the long nights and short days. The turning of the year and a pretext for a tsunami of food and drink.

St John the Baptist at Kings Norton, a Gothic Revival, is what is arguably the best church in our district and according to Sir Nikolaus Pevsner in his series ‘The Buildings of England’,  this church is “one of the most remarkable in England”.

Back in June 2021, the ropes for all eight bells in St Wilfrid's Church were replaced, supplied by local company Ellis Ropes Ltd. of Loughborough.

Fleckney and Kibworth Running Club is offering a nine week ‘Couch to 5k’ course.

Cross Counties Healthcare PCN have been working closely with The Well for the last two years. Our relationship started at the beginning of the first lockdown when many of the vulnerable patients registered at the local GP practices were struggling with issues such as loneliness, isolation, needing help with accessing food, fetching shopping, prescriptions etc. 

Christmas Eve Crib Service

It was with considerable regret that we cancelled our Christmas Concert. The decision was made in view of the Covid situation and the likely age range of the audience. Hopefully 2022 will allow us to put on a summer concert.
