An article last week in an international weekly paper met the experience for many and the human expectations of the present time.

Have you noticed whilst walking locally or driving that many of the hedgerows in South Leicestershire have, over these last winter months, been neatly manicured or in the case of the hedge around the new houses adjacent to the Wistow Road simply flailed.

Everyone at The Well is excited that the shop and café might be open again in April. The café will be open for take-aways, and customers will also be able to eat and drink in our beautiful garden.

This wine comes from Monterrei, a region of Galicia in green NW Spain - not to be confused with Monterey in Mexico (dangerous) or Monterey in California (expensive). The Godello grape nearly became extinct in the 1970s and is now the next big thing after Al-barino.

To me, The Kibworth & District Chronicle represents community. The first time I saw a copy, the sense of belonging and common interest shone through. What a lovely place to live! 

In February we looked out for four, mainly black, members of the crow family. The other two species that can be seen locally are more colourful birds.
