Our group continues to grow, and we are so pleased to see our members relax with each other and share stories together.

Three days of events took place at St Wilfrid’s to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III. The Church decorated with floral displays. The Hall adorned with bunting, flags and balloons ready to screen the service at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6 May. Watched by a small group who enjoyed the historic ceremony with refreshments.

How can it be May already? It doesn’t feel like we’ve seen much sunny spring weather yet, or is it just me?

The Parish Council’s monthly public meeting on 6 April was held in the Studio at the Kibworth Grammar School Hall. Cllr. Feltham explained that following an assessment of the workload and availability, the Clerk’s weekly hours were being increased. In addition, the Parish Office had been moved upstairs to a larger room to accommodate all the joint Parish Councils’ staff. A job description for an Assistant Grounds person was being written.

The Fitness Box located in The Manor in Tur Langton introduced its brand new female only classes GRL PWR in March. 

An important meeting has been called by Network Rail to discuss the forthcoming upgrading of the footbridge between Elliot Close and Warwick Park.

By the time you read this, all of the Coronation celebrations and excitement will be over with just the end of May Bank Holiday to look forward to. WRONG! There’s still Last Minute Theatre’s QUIZARET! It’s a night of (very mixed) cabaret entertainment interspersed with fun quiz sections. You certainly don’t need to be an Egghead to join in and have a great evening!

Illston on the Hill WI have arranged to plant a flowering tree in the church yard in memory of our dear friend Mavis Green who died on 19 January.
