Following years of wishful thinking and, in some cases, denial of factual evidence, there is now general acceptance that much of the natural world is in decline. For some species the decline is irreversible, leading to extinction.

No, the above is not a typo. Glancing again at the phrase we realise that the language tricks us into thinking that there is a me to which the mind belongs. But what is this ‘me’ as distinct from the mind? And does the mind form a part of some greater me?

Once again Home-Start South Leicestershire, based in Market Harborough and helping families with young children across the whole Harborough District, are looking for new volunteers to join their friendly team. The next training course starts in May 2023.

Three families, all from Kilby, met up for lunch in Bell Tower Square, Elizabeth Quay, Perth Western Australia.

The Fitness box are excited to announce the brand new Ladies only fitness classes. Do you want to be toned, confident and strong? Do you want to improve your mood, your productivity and your energy levels?

The weather out there is pretty chilly, but things are hotting up for the Spinners with membership topping the 40 mark, including four ten year old players, three dragging their dads along to swell our membership.

Sometimes it’s easy to overlook the lovely local places that are worth a visit. If you’ve not been to Foxton Locks recently then you may not realise there is now a second-hand bookshop inside Top Lock Cottage. This was set up by staff and volunteers in March 2022 and it has proved to be a great success. 

The changing of the seasons can have a profound effect on our health, emotions and state of mind. Each season is related to a transition of life, to our experience of being human. Spring is a time of new life and rising energy (Yang). Working with acupuncture there are the five elements: water, wood, fire, earth and metal. The wood element is the one related to the season of spring. 

Such a lot seems to have been going on in our village that I am not sure where to begin – but here goes.

Kibworth Bowling Club members have enjoyed indoor carpet bowls over the winter months. Roll-ups on Monday afternoons and evenings have been well attended. Social occasions, and several club competitions have taken place.
