Harborough Walking Festival - Ends this Sunday 17 September

The Harborough Singers will make a rare appearance at St. Wilfrid’s Church, Kibworth on Saturday 4 November. One of the leading Midlands chamber choirs, the group last performed in Kibworth almost exactly thirteen years ago… Wait, 13? Isn’t that supposed to be unlucky?

On Sunday 24 September the Great Bowden Recital Trust Orchestra rounds off a series of Sunday afternoon short concerts in St. Peters, Church Langton. A spot of informal music making by local amateurs can be enjoyed along with refreshments. We carried out an announced focused inspection at South Leicestershire Medical Group on 20 June 2023. Overall, the practice is rated as requires improvement.

The Kibworth Gas, Light and Coke Co. house (pictured) situated on New Road, (previously called Gasworks Hill) has been the subject of some discussion lately as there is currently a planning application with Harborough District Council planning department to demolish this building and replace it with four three-storey houses.

University Hospital Leicester (UHL) Royals July 2023 arranged the NHS t20 Cancer Charity Tournament at Illston Cricket Club on a glorious sunny summer’s day.

Bethan has been a great ambassador for the school. She has always been the first to volunteer to take on any kind of responsibility. A very conscientious individual who has been a great example for others to follow.

On Friday 9 June we had our annual charity golf day at Kibworth Golf Club. This year we supported our local air ambulance. 19 teams of four competed, with a shot gun start at 1pm. We were lucky with the weather. Even if the golf wasn't inspiring for some, they enjoyed a walk and friendly chat! All the teams gathered for a buffet meal afterwards. Prizes were handed out to the more skilful and competitive teams.
