Sharing Encouragement & Hope

At a recent church service, the older members of our congregation were invited to share ‘words of encouragement and hope’ with the younger generation present. These words are just as relevant to offer to the younger readers of today’s Kibworth Chronicle.

“Live life to the full when everything is going well. There will be times when life is not so good. Have faith, the good times will return!”

“God is always with you, even if you don’t always realise it.”

“Be kind. Be patient. Do your best.”

“Remember, when things are going wrong and you’re feeling down and sad, things will ALWAYS get better. There will ALWAYS be someone there to catch you when you fall.”

“Friendship. Support. Advice. Humour. Understanding. Give time willingly.”

“What a friend we have in Jesus. All our sins and griefs to bear. Stay close to this FRIEND.”

“Work hard, but don’t forget to look after yourself and help other people.”

“However dark life can seem, whatever the world’s problems, be assured that God is always with us. He will never leave us, but guide us to the light.”

“Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.”

“Go to bed counting your blessings and not your worries.”

“Be slow to judge and quick to forgive.”

“All will be well. It WILL get better. Peace be with you. Think before you act.”

“But lo, there breaks a better day.”
