As with everything at the moment, we here at Kibworth Cricket Club, are in a stop situation but fully hope our followers and members are all healthy and well.

Town & Country Veterinary Centre, a veterinary practice based in Market Harborough, have kindly continued their sponsorship of the Mini/Junior

The snow and lockdown has lead to a course invasion at Kibworth Golf Club.The course was invaded by the friendly chaps shown below. They are a few of the many that appeared recently along with the droves of dog walkers who regularly enjoy our beautiful course.

Christmas Fun at the Club!

There was lots of Christmas fun at Kibworth Tennis Club and a chance to get into the Christmas spirit, whenwe ran a fun Christmas hat/outfit competition for the children who attend the weekly coaching sessions. We had a great response, with a lot of the children taking part. The photos show two of the best Christmas outfits.

Much like every other Club and Society we will be looking back at 2020 mainly as a year to forget, but as a Running Club we made the best of it with a number of virtual events to keep members active.

During our recent AGM we are delighted to confirm the following Captains for next season:

The Kibworth Velo Club continues to thrive in these unprecedented times! Until early November we were able to do socially-distanced Group Rides of 6 people; our regular Sunday club runs go to lovely cafes for coffee & cake (or bacon rolls). We also continued our Thursday evening rides; night rides are fun and we enjoy a social catch up at the Clubhouse (Boboli) over a beer and pizza from the lovely Sarah Poli. Since lockdown restarted, we are restricted to riding in pairs - we ride the same routes but 10 mins apart. The weather has been kind but the roads are very wet and muddy meaning our bike cleaning skills have been put to good use!

With winter now well set in, the Kibworth Easy Riders are still as active as ever despite the Covid-19 regulations currently in place. Our members often organise rides daily. They are thoroughly loving the challenge of taking on the elements out on their bikes.

I would like to say a big thank you to the management team at Kibworth Golf Club for opening the grounds for the general public to enjoy during these difficult time. It’s been wonderful to appreciate the open space, lovely colours of the trees, sound of the water fountains and to be able to wander with friends, stopping to sup a flask of coffee and have a chat on a bench. The lovely grounds are an asset to Kibworth and a testament to the skills of their grounds team.
