Another Kibworth Get Active Day!

I hope that many readers from the Kibworths will remember the first Get Active Day that the two Kibworth Parish Councils funded at Warwick Park on Sunday 6 September 2020. The success of last year’s inaugural event run by Fiesta Sports Coaching means that it is being repeated this year on Sunday 23 May at Warwick Park, again funded by the two parish councils.

The aim of the event is to provide a series of opportunities for both children and adults to get healthy and active following lockdown. This is part of a wider goal of enabling a healthy, inclusive, and engaged community.  Fiesta Sports Coaching can also provide longer-term participant pathways for anyone intending to make their physical activity sessions more regular.  The company recently won a Prestige Award 2020/21 for their Specialist Sports Delivery. They also deliver the McDonald’s Fun Football Centres in the region on behalf of the Football Association.

The Kibworth Get Active Day on 23 May will be even bigger and better

The Kibworth Get Active Day on 23 May will be even bigger and better than last year with a wider range of activities for young people to get involved in, all for free and bookable on the website www.fiestasportscoaching.co.uk. We have full public liability and all the events will be led by qualified coaches who are fully DBS checked. The only thing we have to charge is a 1p-booking fee. We are collaborating with the Kibworth Scouts and both Kibworth Parish Councils to plan the event and are delighted that local new business, ‘Ivy Joy Vintage Tea Rooms,’ are providing refreshments”.

John Mulholland, co-director of Fiesta Sports Coaching

This day of fun activities in the fresh air is exactly what the community needs to help encourage us out of lockdown and shake off all the cobwebs!  Not only can the children have fun taking part, but so can the adults enjoy watching them in the fresh air at our great Warwick Park facility.”
