To me, The Kibworth & District Chronicle represents community. The first time I saw a copy, the sense of belonging and common interest shone through. What a lovely place to live! 

Teachers, teachers leave those kids alone; Pink Floyd's lyrics do not accurately describe the situation as it is now. However, the kids, many kids are being left alone and at home with parents and grandparents who are thrust into the role. This role ever was the introduction of Universal Education by the post war Labour Government and has been passed to professionally trained teachers (the preparation was the work of R.A. Butler, a member of the national wartime government and the resulting1944 Education Act). 

Back in March, before I’d contracted the Coronavirus, I had a holiday booked for the start of June. At the time I was confident that all the Covid-19 disruptions would be over and I could look forward to some sun, sea and sand abroad. How wrong I was!

Thank you for the kind compliments about our colourful Kibworth Chronicle. We, the management committee, are very pleased with them too.

The Chronicle is looking to recruit a volunteer Editorial Co-ordinator. You will lead the small Editorial Team in the creation and publication of the Kibworth & District Chronicle; for both the print and online versions.

After thirty years of being an important player in the Kibworth & District Chronicle team, Jean Emeny has decided to retire.

The Kibworth Chronicle is back in print! It is great to visualise people’s pleasure when they see the Chronicle come through their letter box once more. We have had emails and phone calls of thanks from some already.

There is a saying in the bible that it is better to give than to receive. I think when you are a child you might be puzzled by this but as you grow older you see how true it is.
