There was lots of Christmas fun at Kibworth Tennis Club and a chance to get into the Christmas spirit, whenwe ran a fun Christmas hat/outfit competition for the children who attend the weekly coaching sessions. We had a great response, with a lot of the children taking part. The photos show two of the best Christmas outfits.

Just before Christmas Kibworth Scouts helped Santa plan his route for Christmas Eve around Kibworth and Smeeton.

Much like every other Club and Society we will be looking back at 2020 mainly as a year to forget, but as a Running Club we made the best of it with a number of virtual events to keep members active.

The Kibworth Velo Club continues to thrive in these unprecedented times! Until early November we were able to do socially-distanced Group Rides of 6 people; our regular Sunday club runs go to lovely cafes for coffee & cake (or bacon rolls). We also continued our Thursday evening rides; night rides are fun and we enjoy a social catch up at the Clubhouse (Boboli) over a beer and pizza from the lovely Sarah Poli. Since lockdown restarted, we are restricted to riding in pairs - we ride the same routes but 10 mins apart. The weather has been kind but the roads are very wet and muddy meaning our bike cleaning skills have been put to good use!

As reported in December's Chronicle, little Christmas gift bags were delivered to our members by some of Santa's elves(aka the committee).These deliveries took some time as catch-up chats on the doorstep were enjoyed along the way. Members have shared stories of how they celebrated Christmas within the restrictions that we all need to follow.

With the world upside down we have decided to share one of the pantomimes via You Tube to watch...for FREE! The show is Dick Whittington which we performed in 2011. It was directed and produced by Mary Orton, assisted by Michael Rawnsley.
