It’s been a busy few weeks for the club as we continue to enjoy the warmer weather and countryside for our regular club runs, and our members have been busy taking part in events around the county and beyond

From March to the end of the season, the Spinners made progress yet again with great wins for Mike Wilson, Steve Reeve and Mike Miles against Desford Village’s second team whilst a valiant battle between our fourth team and Winstanley Wizards 5 resulted in a draw.

As the football season draws to a close it’s time to reflect on another bumper year at Birds Barn and pick out some highlights, including three appearances in cup finals for our teams.

We have a thriving junior section here at KGC with two boys doing exceptionally well in recent tournaments.

News of the Band has been missing for the last couple of months mainly because Covid is still affecting our membership and activities. After the long enforced cessation of playing some players have not returned but we are pleased to say that we have attracted some new young players and are hopeful that things will gradually improve

Kibworth and surrounding area Photography Group is now a well-established club. We have been going strong for the last 18 months now and have enjoyed lots of varied meetings.

The summer season is now under way and our South Leicestershire Triples’ League and Market Harborough League fixtures have commenced.

Do you remember the game show Bob’s Full House hosted by Bob Monkhouse? This was the first game show in which Stephanie appeared.

On a fine Saturday in April forty-three members of the Kibworth Rambling Group headed to Kendal, Cumbria for our annual coach holiday.

In our April meeting, the Kibworth Art Lovers were treated to a new look at painting with pastels. Nuneaton based artist, Estelle Robinson, has 30 years of experience in painting portraits and she presented pastels as a forgiving and versatile medium.  She says, “With portraiture it’s all in the eyes of course, get those right then everything else seems to follow.”
