Why do companies hide the truth about their activities?

Driving along the B6047, the road from Market Harborough to Melton Mowbray, near to Billesdon I see two large advertising flags fluttering in the wing and pull into Rolleston Lodge. Here, I find Northern Cobbler, a minimalist cafe space with superb coffee and delicious cakes and pastries. Plus if you look over the fence, a great view of Leicestershire. I ask for an Americano, black and no sugar. It is the elixir of life, fortifying one for the next part of the journey.

In September The Fitness Box, based in the grounds of the Manor, Tur Langton held a massive 24-hour Charity Fitness Challenge.

Driving along the A6 the other morning I glanced briefly towards the closed gates of Kibworth Recycling and Household Waste site (known to all as ‘The Tip’) and immediately came to mind the lyrics of the well-known Joni Mitchell song ‘Big Yellow Taxi’, in particular the line,

The onset of the Covid pandemic forced a radical rethink for artists such as Claire Holmes. As Thread & Ink, Claire’s chief outlet for her hand printed and embroidered textiles had been via art fairs. Thanks to Covid, these were now cancelled en masse. Speaking to other artists, she found they were in the same boat. There were lots of beautiful things to sell and a dwindling number of places in which to sell them. Thus, in October 2020, Hallaton Artisan was born.

Kibworth Grammar School Hall is located in the heart of our community, and aims to provide a fantastic service to all. The hall is currently the venue of choice for local societies, clubs, fitness class, and birthday parties. The Hall can also host wedding receptions!

This week the children of the Kibworth Village Hall Playgroup have really enjoyed learning all about dentists and good dental hygiene. With help from ODental Clinic in Kibworth, we created a dentist’s tray with lots of models, teeth to clean, and demonstrations for all our children.
