A6: Continuing Traffic Mayhem

Two families were lucky to escape, without apparent injury, a near head on collision on Saturday 7 September. A Mini, heading west, collided with a Mercedes saloon heading east  – on the wrong side of the road – with such force that it took 50 yards for the Mini to stop. A second car with a very young baby in it could not stop and hit the Mercedes; miraculously, the baby and Mother were unhurt. The driver of the Mini was driven away by Police.

We have been so happy to open our doors at the start of December, both in the café for takeaways and in the charity shop. The atmosphere has been cosy and welcoming and it has been lovely to welcome back old friends whilst meeting some new.

Kibworth sings to the world

5th January 2021 | What's On

The fifth carol in this year’s Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols was ‘A virgin most gentle’. The Festival was broadcast worldwide on BBC Radio 4 and the BBC World Service from the candlelit Chapel of Kings College, Cambridge on Christmas Eve. The carol is of particular local interest, having been composed by Andrew Carter, a past pupil of Kibworth Beauchamp Grammar School.
