Countdown to Christmas.
We have been so happy to open our doors at the start of December, both in the café for takeaways and in the charity shop. The atmosphere has been cosy and welcoming and it has been lovely to welcome back old friends whilst meeting some new.
Please do pop in if you can to see the team and admire our new décor!
The café is open every weekday morning from 9am to 1pm, and the shop every weekday afternoon from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
Generous donations to the food bank.
We’ve had a busy week at the Food Bank and were completely flabbergasted by so many donations of food including a mini-bus load from The Kibworth School and a monetary gift from the Rotary. Donations can be put into the Food Bank basket in the Co-op, or delivered directly to 47 High Street, Tuesday to Thursday 10am to 12noon. Items we need are tinned meat, long-life bread, tinned or long-life puddings, cereal, and size 5-6 nappies. We are fine for pasta and all other tinned things, thank you!
The Food Bank has a referral system – telephone 07517 350912 (10am to 3pm) or email to Emma Dowman (Centre Manager) at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are interested in volunteering with us, please contact Emma on (0116) 279 0148, by email, or pop in for an application form.
We will close for Christmas at the end of business on Tuesday 22 December and will reopen on Monday 4 January.
We wish everyone in Kibworth and surrounding villages a Very Happy Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!
