The good news is that we started all of the tennis activities again at the club from Wednesday December 2nd. The courts have been very busy with children and adults glad to be back doing an outdoor activity despite some of the rubbish weather.

We are very sad to report that Alan Butcher, known as Chip, passed away on the 7th of November. He was a postman for ten years and then landlord of the Railway Arms and the Kings Head in Smeeton Westerby.

My Dad was friends with Geoff Crowther and having had years of experience as a printer, starting as an apprentice in Leicester, working in a poster printers and also setting up his own printing business at home, Dad was keen to become one of the team. He joined in the very early days and attended most, if not all of the Sunday morning lay-ups.

My name is Chris Roberts and I started Kibworth Mortgages in January 2017 to provide friendly and professional services to aid clients to arrange mortgages and insurance needs. I am a local lad who was born and grew up in Kibworth. Started Kibworth Mortgages with the aim of having my own office in the heart of the village. I finally achieved this goal in September 2020, obtaining a prime office just off the roundabout in the village centre. We plan to be a big part of Kibworth and be established as a secure long-term business as it’s a fast-growing village that is close to my heart.
