On 10th November we held our Annual General Meeting. Especially important this year because Hazel Taylor, our President for the past ten years, was standing down.
Readers will probably be aware of bird flu or HPAI amongst domestic poultry. Causing distress to farmers and concern about the availability of Christmas turkeys. There are also risks to egg production if domestic poultry farms continue to be affected by outbreaks of the disease. We already know that there have been some very significant impacts on wild bird populations. Over 60 species in the UK having been affected by the disease. There are many things not yet known about this outbreak.

On 22 November, the Kibworth Art Lovers were treated to a demonstration by Andrew Geeson, professional artist of over 20 years. Andrew takes tutorials and has produced books and videos sharing his passion for the loose watercolours technique which promotes a more light-hearted approach to painting.
Local primary school teacher Harriet Evans, enjoyed a very successful night at Welland Valley Cycling club’s annual awards event. This was held at Kibworth Cricket Club.
