The Methodist Churches of Kibworth and Market Harborough are pleased to announce that they are now licensed to hold same-sex marriage ceremonies, and that their minister Rev. Andy Murphy is authorised to conduct the services.

According to the author Warren Berger in his book, ‘A More Beautiful Question,’ some studies reveal that four-year-old children can ask as many as 400 questions a day. Many children between the ages of two and five can ask around 40,000 questions! The word ‘question’ comes from the Latin, ‘to seek’, thus linking the idea to that of a journey or quest.

With winter behind us and the prospect of a nice summer ahead (hopefully) we know that this is the time that a lot of people start to think about summer holidays and the shape they'd like to be in when they go.

In April we welcomed Carolyn Boulter who showed us how to make an owl paperweight. Being well-organised, Carolyn brought along some owls she had made earlier. She had also prepared about 50 kits containing everything we needed, right down to a needle ready-threaded with cotton to match the fabric in each kit. It must have taken her ages! Members selected the kit they liked according to their colour preference.

After running a volunteer recruitment campaign over the last couple of months, we’ve taken on a few more people to work in our café. This means we can finally extend our opening hours, which is great.
