Rehearsals are continuing apace for both of our productions, below is an update.

Students from a local primary school are kitted out to play sports in style, thanks to a donation from a Leicestershire-based housebuilder.

The Bishop of Leicester is planning to use the weekends during Lent to make pilgrimages to many of the smaller churches in the Diocese. On Saturday 11 March he will be in Gartree Deanery, in the Chronicle’s locality, spending the day walking and praying at and in between different churches and communities. He will welcome companions to walk with him for all or part of the day or to meet him on the way to share in his time of prayer and walking.

The Macmillan INFOPOINT is now sited at HOME INSTEAD, 32 St Mary’s Road Market Harborough. The recently erected sign thanks to JW Signs now guides anyone wanting to access information for patients, family and friends affected by cancer.

Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital will be holding an Indoor Car Boot Sale on Saturday 18 March in Kibworth Grammar School Hall, LE8 0EW from 10am-1pm.

At our January meeting we were treated to a talk about Wildlife in Kibworth by an enthusiastic amateur who is a member of our WI. The speaker was Julie Harrison accompanied by her husband Ian. Julie spoke about the different species of birds and other animals illustrated by superb photographs taken by Ian.

Kibworth station has had a busy start to the year with our appliance being mobilised 21 times during January. Some notable incidents include; a road traffic collision on the A6 (Great Glen) roundabout, domestic property fire, car fire and a chimney fire.

We are so pleased with how our group continues to grow, and we think the members of the group are a fabulous bunch of people!
