Many people of all ages will have dipped their toes into the sea, river or lake during this summer. One of the funniest sights was to see a young man displaying Love Island masculinity enter the sea and hastily retreat as the seawater reached his knees!

Kibworth Cosmopolitans raise a glass

Kibworth Cosmopolitans celebrate competing in its first season in the friendly Market Harborough Rounders League after forming as a new team in spring earlier this year. Based at Birds Barn Kibworth, the Cosmopolitans train every Tuesday evening with matches at the home ground or in Market Harborough.

We had some lovely summer meetings – with bowls, arts and crafts, and cheese and puddings! It was quite a mixture! This month, Wednesday 20 September, at the Kibworth Cricket Club, we hope to have a tutorial on how to take a better photo with your mobile phone. Some art and crafts will follow next month.

Voluntary Drivers Urgently Needed

VASL Car Scheme has been operating since 1987 in Market Harborough and covers 2/3 of Harborough District. The scheme is for anyone who is elderly, disabled, rurally isolated, has no transport of their own or has difficulty accessing public transport.
