Kibworth Cosmopolitans raise a glass
Kibworth Cosmopolitans celebrate competing in its first season in the friendly Market Harborough Rounders League after forming as a new team in spring earlier this year. Based at Birds Barn Kibworth, the Cosmopolitans train every Tuesday evening with matches at the home ground or in Market Harborough.
Playing a total of 12 games, the team have finished in a very respectable fifth position. New friendships have been made, fitness has increased and many laughs have been had on and off the pitch.
The team was formed to give local women and girls the opportunity to take part in team sports, providing a fun and friendly atmosphere, as well as creating a support network for their mental health and wellbeing. The aim is to make activities accessible, with a particular focus on mums getting back into sports.
