The club have achieved a lot in the past month, making the most of better weather and lighter evenings. We were proud to support our group of Couch to 5K runners in their final runs; some ‘graduated’ at Market Harborough Parkrun, others completed in their own time. We are pleased to have welcomed several new members to the club following the programme.

Thursday 23 March 9am saw the re-opening of the Kibworth Recycling and Household Waste site. The summer timetable is now in force, so 9am to 7pm, five days a week; as before it is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The Kibworth Harcourt Post Mill, a wonder to behold,
A monument of craftsmanship, that never grows old.
One has to arrive in Foxton along the road that passes Gartree Prison to note the wonderful landscape. Foxton has a charmingly simple village layout almost grid-like which, following the arrival of the Grand Junction canal in 1800s, lies below this waterway with a few exceptions.

Our March meeting was led by professional artist Maxine Dodd who lives and works in Church Langton. She is known primarily for her award-winning images of cyclists, in ink and watercolour. She also has experience of using a wide variety of media.
