School Memories

Further to the article in September’s edition of the Chronicle on being educated at Kibworth Beauchamp Grammar School written by Barbara Johnson. I was also educated there at a similar time and remember all the staff mentioned. In particular Miss Miele, as I was summoned to the art room before school started on a Thursday morning each week when I was in the 4th form. This was not a disciplinary event but to collect her weekly grocery order as I was her Co-op delivery boy living a short distance down the road in Wigston.

I have since lived in Kibworth for over 50 years and look at what is left of the school with fond memories. I also have a 1957 school photograph with the aforementioned staff on it.
