Looking back at June, we enjoyed an excellent, well-prepared talk about ‘The Life of Marilyn Monroe’ by Julie Kinnear. Affected by her unfortunate early life, Marilyn was constantly trying to improve herself. She never felt that she was beautiful, or particularly good enough. Paradoxically, when working as a model, and later in the film industry, she was constantly exploited for her looks.

The trustees are pleased to announce that we finally have a treasurer to join us on the committee of KGSH. Welcome Geraldine Burns who has lived in the village for a couple of years now and is keen to become more involved in village life. Geraldine will be co-opted as a trustee at a special meeting. We are sure that she will be a great asset to our team. Whilst the hall is busy, we still have some slots available. Our first joint production of ‘’Allo,’Allo!’ proved to be a great success with both cast and audiences alike. Performing to a full house each night, many messages of congratulations and praise came flooding in. “It was brilliant! Well done everyone!
