Illston on the Hill WI had their AGM in November.

On Saturday 19 November Leicester and District Ramblers held their AGM at Newtown Linford, this occasion was all the more auspicious as several key committee members were standing down!

On a cold afternoon members of the local u3a walking tennis group enjoyed an hour of warming tennis followed by mince pies, shortbread and mulled wine.

Kibworth Rambling Group rounded off yet another successful year of excellent and varied walks with their annual Christmas lunch. Over sixty members of their membership, of almost a hundred, sat down at Kilworth Springs golf club for a delicious festive meal.

Thanks to The Rotary Club and Scouts for all their hard work over the years.

On a Saturday afternoon at the club we are running Mini/Junior Team Tennis Events for children between the ages of 6 to 18. The aim is to give as many children as possible, who attend the weekly tennis coaching sessions, the opportunity to put their coaching into practice by playing both singles and doubles matches against other children from the club who are of a similar standard. One photo shows children who took part in a “normal” Team Tennis event and the other one shows some of the children who took part in the Halloween Team Tennis Event.

Over 1500 people attended the Hi5 Kibworth Fireworks Spectacular. There was hot food and drinks supplied by the Scouts in Kibworth and stalls representing Fleckney Scouts, as well as the Harborough District World Scout Jamboree. Coffee was provided by 'Penny's Vintage Coffee.'

MHO, Market Harborough’s very own orchestra, is preparing to give its 24th concert under the baton of Stephen Bell on Saturday 12November at 7.30pm at Market Harborough Methodist Church, Northampton Road.
