With the weather set to fair, the Euros about to start, and with the Covid rules about to relax, (fingers crossed), smouldering BBQs across the villages will be smelled from afar. Bridge 67 Butchers are able to offer you a fantastic range of beef, pork and lamb from our farm in Smeeton Westerby. We also have chicken, Hambletons breads, British cheeses, not to mention our lovely range of relishes and sauces in our pantry.

Staff and residents at Kibworth Court Care Home would like to thank the Kibworth community for all their offers of assistance and help clearing up after the flood last week.

Since Friday 12 March there has been a new team behind the counter at the premises, 40 -42 High Street. We wish Billa Johal and his team at Kibworth Post Office every success for the future.

From Monday 12 April all boaters were finally allowed to move. Hire boats could start up again, albeit still with restrictions on numbers and households.

2020 Hindsight! With 2020 now behind us, the team at Edmonds and Slatter are looking back with astonishment at last year. It brought us many new situations and an expanded vocabulary, including ‘social distancing’ and other Covid-related terms. Ironically 2020 was also the Chinese Year of the Rat.

Bridge 67 Butchers opened its doors on the 5th November 2020 just as we went into lockdown for the second time. Situated on the High Street in Kibworth, the butchers’ shop offers a fantastic range of quality products with the main emphasis on local, British products.

In August The Beauty Room will have been on the High Street for 16 years. We are thrilled to be opening our doors again following the recent lockdown. Liz Ives, the owner, can’t thank all of her loyal clients enough for their wonderful support over the last year.

From the front it’s hard to see what lies behind our doors because we’re not a usual kind of shop. Having no window display could be seen as a hindrance for many retail businesses. However, once people step through the door, they can really appreciate our quirky barn. Our unique barn allows plenty of room to browse safely. We're pleased your reactions say it all. We’re so happy we decided to revamp and reconfigure our shop ahead of re-opening.
