From March to the end of the season, the Spinners made progress yet again with great wins for Mike Wilson, Steve Reeve and Mike Miles against Desford Village’s second team whilst a valiant battle between our fourth team and Winstanley Wizards 5 resulted in a draw.

News of the Band has been missing for the last couple of months mainly because Covid is still affecting our membership and activities. After the long enforced cessation of playing some players have not returned but we are pleased to say that we have attracted some new young players and are hopeful that things will gradually improve

The children of The Hunny Hive Day Nursery have been learning about people who help us. The Kibworth Fire Crew kindly came to the setting to visit and the children were delighted to be able to learn about the equipment and sit in the fire engine!

Weddings! Summer is the most popular season for marriage ceremonies. Usually expense is on the generous side and fascinators add colour to the occasion. However, I do recall one wedding, not so long ago, when the bride was almost left standing at the altar when the bridegroom failed to appear - cold feet!Unsurprisingly, they were never married!
