The trustees of the hall and the library had a successful meeting on the 15 March to discuss progress on the plans for developing the new Kibworth Hub which will incorporate the library and the hall. There is currently a lot of hard work going into writing applications for funds.

Your Rotary Club continues to be active, thirty six years after its formation. Many of the current members are founder members and the majority have been members for over 30 years.

Well Spring has sprung, meteorologically speaking at least. The nights are drawing out and the clocks go forward in a couple of weeks. We’re starting to see the signs of new life as snowdrops, crocus and daffodils pop up and our garden birds start checking out bird boxes for a suitable place to build a nest.

The parish council’s monthly public meeting on 2 February was held in the Studio at the Kibworth Grammar School Hall. Cllr. Feltham reported the post required for mounting the vehicle-activated sign on Albert Street is due to be installed at the end of March. He and the clerk are meeting with the Community Speed Watch team on 3 February for them to carry out a risk assessment of the three chosen locations ready for the volunteers to measure speeds over two weeks starting on 22 April.
