The Hospital will be holding two events in November in the Kibworth Village Hall, LE8 0LN with FREE admission:

Illston on the Hill WI is back again! We are holding our Christmas Fayre on Saturday 26 November, 10am–1pm in the Village Hall. There will be crafts, gifts, cakes, cards, plants, cosmetics, jewellery, tombola, ‘loved again’ and our Master Bee Keeper.

Hello all! By the time you read this, we’ll have had several Pantomime rehearsals under our belts for ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’. This year, we only have a very small Chorus. All of our ‘little ones’ have grown up and are taking principal parts or have flown the nest and been lost to University, studying, apprenticeships. More mature members moving out of the area, suffering illness or having family commitments.

We had hoped that with this edition of The Chronicle, we would have been able to announce our next production. However due to personal circumstances, we have had to delay things a little.

As autumn and winter approach are you looking for new pastimes and ways to meet people? Perhaps you remember country dancing at school, or enjoyed a Barn Dance/Ceilidh and would like to try other English dances?

During the summer holidays tennis sessions took place at the club for children aged from three to seventeen. It was a great opportunity for some children to try tennis for the first time and for other children to continue playing during the summer holidays. Over 150 children attended the sessions so it was a busy time for Mati and his coaching team!

Although we often have invited speakers to present talks on specific topics, our most recent MU meeting in the church hall on Thursday 1 September followed our usual church service. However, on this particular occasion over a cup of tea and biscuits, we had a wonderful time of spontaneous fellowship and heartfelt sharing of experiences, with the opportunity to recall some important memories from events in our lives.

Will be holding a Pop up Charity Shop at the hospital, at the of rear of Bird's Barn, Fleckney Road Kibworth LE8 0HJ.

Since the last report, the parish council held its annual parish walkabout on 7 July and its monthly public meeting on 4 August in the Studio at the Kibworth Grammar School Hall.
