Organised by the Climate Coalition, the ‘Great Big Green Week ‘is a celebration by people all over the country.  It’s taking place this year between Saturday 8 June and Sunday 16 June. The Green Street for local organisations and charities, is returning to the Harborough Carnival on Saturday 8 June too.

News from Smeeton Westerby - February 2024

17th February 2024 | Community, What's On

With so many events happening in Smeeton Westerby over the Christmas period, we ended up with a relaxing and quiet January. However, The Kings Head came up trumps with their Burns’ Night Supper on Thursday 25 January where a three course meal was served, the main dish naturally being haggis, neeps and tatties with whisky sauce. There was a variety of whiskies to wash everything down with. Not surprisingly, a great time was had by all.

Annual open day hosted by Bridge 67

Once again we are looking forward to welcoming you into the calving and lambing sheds at our annual open day, on Saturday 23 March Binleys Bridge Farm, Debdale Lane, Smeeton Westerby, LE8 0QD. Come down to the farm between 11am – 5pm to see the cows calving and sheep lambing. We will hopefully have a few pigs for you to see too.
