Kibworth Harcourt Post Mill Open Weekend

Kibworth Mill will once again be opening as part of Heritage Open Days. These give people an opportunity to visit buildings that are not normally open to the public. This is the oldest mill in Leicestershire and will be open on Saturday 19 September and Sunday 20 September. Volunteers will show visitors around inside and outside the mill. They will be able to see the inner workings and marks left by the millers over the last 400 years. You can see how it was extended in the years before the USA came into existence!

Due to space constraints at the mill visitors will be limited to a maximum of six at a time. Tours start on the hour between 10am and 3pm on each day. Due to the steep, open staircases and uneven surfaces, unfortunately the mill is unsuitable for young children or those with mobility issues. On-site parking is limited. Prior booking is essential via the website which will be available nearer the time: www.spab.org.uk/whats-on

We are aware that there were some problems with the online booking page for our Open Weekend earlier in the year for which we apologise. We have been assured that it has been fixed and will work smoothly when bookings open for the weekend in September.

Past Open Days have been fully booked, so please book early to secure your place.

Entry is free, but donations are always welcome www.spab.org.uk/mills/mill-repair-fund
