Here is a photograph of the new entrance to Kibworth Community Hub, which is making life very much easier for our users. We are sure that readers will agree that the new entrance is a big improvement and, when we have our signage put up, we will no longer have people standing in the carpark asking where is the Community Hub/Grammar School Hall?

Established in 1885 our club continues to thrive with a growing number of men, women and junior members.

This year’s Nevill Holt Festival (Friday 30 May - Sunday 22 June) includes in addition to last month’s list.

Kibworth Mill will once again be opening for National Mills Weekend giving members of the public an opportunity to visit the oldest mill in Leicestershire on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 May. Volunteers will show people around inside and outside the mill, giving visitors the chance to see the inner workings and marks left by the millers over the last 400 years.

Kibworth & District u3a is delighted to present the popular Mike Storr, who will introduce his favourite comedians and story tellers from the Music Hall days.

On Sunday, 1 June 11-5pm a range of gardens in our village will be open to visitors. Refreshments will be available and (weather permitting) a display of classic cars! Entry is £5 (children under 16 free)  Proceeds from the day will support St Andrew’s church and village projects. Please spread the word. Inland Waterways Association (IWA) Leicestershire Branch are planning to hold a Waterways Festival to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the first Festival of Boats and Arts, which was held at Market Harborough in 1950.

We are delighted to announce that our CoCo mornings have started up again. Held on the third Wednesday of the month between 10.30am and 12.00pm. It was really lovely to see so many people joining us. As the weather improves and we can once again use our beautiful little garden, I am sure we will see many more people from the surrounding villages joining us, either as they take a ‘doggy walking’ stop or just decide to pop in for free refreshments!
