Kibworth Rambling Group rounded off yet another successful year of excellent and varied walks with their annual Christmas lunch. Over sixty members of their membership, of almost a hundred, sat down at Kilworth Springs golf club for a delicious festive meal.

On a Saturday afternoon at the club we are running Mini/Junior Team Tennis Events for children between the ages of 6 to 18. The aim is to give as many children as possible, who attend the weekly tennis coaching sessions, the opportunity to put their coaching into practice by playing both singles and doubles matches against other children from the club who are of a similar standard. One photo shows children who took part in a “normal” Team Tennis event and the other one shows some of the children who took part in the Halloween Team Tennis Event.

Over 1500 people attended the Hi5 Kibworth Fireworks Spectacular. There was hot food and drinks supplied by the Scouts in Kibworth and stalls representing Fleckney Scouts, as well as the Harborough District World Scout Jamboree. Coffee was provided by 'Penny's Vintage Coffee.'

At our October meeting, members and visitors were treated to a demonstration by mixed-media professional artist, Danielle Vaughan. Danielle talked about and demonstrated her own unique style of collage art. These are created using waste materials, mainly ripped paper from magazines.

On 13 October our mouths watered in anticipation of Gail Wooliscroft’s demonstration of ‘Decadent Dessert’. The first was Waffle Berry Pudding, with waffles purchased at the supermarket bakery section, because frozen ones are usually made with potato, not good combined with fruit, custard and cream!
