An innovative housing development has been completed and it has earned net-zero verification—the first in Harborough district. The development at Sidings Yard on Station Street in Kibworth Beauchamp includes six one-bed apartments and four two-bedroom bungalows.

I grew up with an annual real Christmas tree that my mother decorated beautifully, the most amazing sight being when the real candles in their holders were lit and the light bulb turned off, for a magical, fragrant though fairly brief, experience. I can’t imagine anyone taking the chance of a house fire now!

Located on a scenic rural site in Great Glen, ‘Cheese and Pickle’ has become a valued destination for those seeking quality produce, thoughtful gifts, and friendly service. Owned by one time Kibworth residents sisters Sam and Sarah, the shop has continued to develop since they took it over in 2023, building on the strong foundations already in place. The shop was originally owned by another Kibworth resident, Kate Foster.

A group of businesses/shops formed the Kibworth Business Forum last year calling ourselves ‘We Are Kibworth’.  The group is made up of businesses with a ‘shop front’ either on the High Street or elsewhere in either of the Kibworths. e.g. Fleckney Road, Station Street, Harborough Road.

If you didn’t and you’re a cheese lover, then you certainly need to know about their Cheese Festival on the Saturday 6 December at the Kibworth Community Hub (formerly Kibworth Grammar School Hall) between 10am – 4pm.

I had a lovely walk at Foxton Locks on a sunny afternoon recently, and it made me realise how beautiful our area is and how important it is to take care of it.
