Thanks to all things Covid it has been a truncated Cricket season for Fleckney Village Cricket Club. Both Saturday sides played in the Covid Cup Mini League and our Midweek and Sunday sides playing a host of friendlies.

I have noticed that with darker evenings and foggy mornings some cyclists are not always very visible especially to drivers. Cycle lights being small are not especially visible particularly if the rider is wearing dark clothing. I’d like to remind cyclists in the area to wear hi-vis clothing or arm bands to make them more visible.

I was born in a small village in rural Bangladesh (East Pakistan as it was then) but I don’t know in which year. This is not so unusual, the village did not even have electricity and nobody kept any official records.
