Hello all! It’s quite autumnal as I write this article - did we miss the summer?! Children and students are all back at school and many of us have now returned to the ‘normality’ of work (or retirement, but with fewer grandchildren to occupy, indulge and delight in).

Run Talk Run Kibworth will meet on Monday 25 September at 6:30 pm. Meet near entrance of The Old Grammar School, School Lane, Kibworth Beauchamp, LE8 0JE.

Over the summer holidays it’s been all systems go at KMA! Thanks to a huge capital investment from The Mead Educational Trust, a massive amount of building work has been successfully completed over the summer.

The Band have had a relatively quiet summer but are now back to full practices in preparation for a Proms-style concert at the Old Grammar School, Kibworth in September and the Leicestershire Brass Band Association (LBBA) contest at Loughborough in November.

'Come Together' - A Harvest Service with Something for Everyone!

Fleckney and Kibworth Running Club have been very busy over the summer with races, events and club runs.

We had some lovely summer meetings – with bowls, arts and crafts, and cheese and puddings! It was quite a mixture! This month, Wednesday 20 September, at the Kibworth Cricket Club, we hope to have a tutorial on how to take a better photo with your mobile phone. Some art and crafts will follow next month.

Harborough Walking Festival - Ends this Sunday 17 September

We are delighted to welcome John Beatty to Kibworth. He is one of Britain’s most exciting and stimulating nature, travel and adventure photographers. For thirty years, John has ventured across the world returning with stories of his unique experiences of the wilderness.

Rehearsals are well underway for our next production, written by group member, the very talented Ella Wright and called For One Night Only.

Kibworth Chronicle Association (Kibworth and District Chronicle) invites all Chronicle members and volunteers (those involved in the composition, production, administration and distribution) who wish to attend its Annual General Meeting.

The Kibworth Gas, Light and Coke Co. house (pictured) situated on New Road, (previously called Gasworks Hill) has been the subject of some discussion lately as there is currently a planning application with Harborough District Council planning department to demolish this building and replace it with four three-storey houses.
