It’s now a month since our food bank became a hub of the Trussell Trust’s Leicester South Food Bank.

Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital will be holding a coffee morning and tabletop sale on Saturday 10 December in Kibworth Village Hall LE8 0LN. From 10am to 12.45.

Following months of hard work, planning, preparation and rehearsals, Saturday 29 October was certainly a night to remember. Supported by their wonderful family and friends, Kibworth Ladies Choir sang their hearts out whilst telling the story of how the choir has evolved over the past ten years.

On Thursday 27th October the Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital in Kibworth featured in an episode of the BBC TV programme ‘Autumnwatch’.

The Kibworth & Fleckney Rotary Club are staging another Bonfire and Firework Spectacular. Those who have been before witnessed an amazing firework display, put on by the very professional Hi-5 Fireworks company.

The Hospital will be holding two events in November in the Kibworth Village Hall, LE8 0LN with FREE admission:

This September Edmonds & Slatter Opticians held their 5th Charity Golf Day in aid of local charity Menphys.

At just the right time, premises became available right next door to our café (the former Gems charity shop), and the trustees agreed to take on the lease and move the food bank in, so that it could keep operating, after our café was allowed to re-open.

Well, this idea is going to be a reality! Commencing on Monday 31 October, the Welcome Kitchen will open its doors and you, and that means everyone, will be able to join others at Kibworth Grammar School Hall (main hall) for friendship and enjoy a bowl of nourishing soup prepared by our resident cook, Jenny.

The annual cake sale to raise funds for charity took place on the Centurion Place estate on Saturday 10 September. This was the third year we have held this event. It was once again very successful and well supported by the residents baking home-made goodies.
