As promised, more details on our event in June to celebrate the King’s birthday and Fathers’ Day. The Kings Head, Smeeton are hosting a Summer Shindig in aid of GEMS Charity on Sunday 21 June starting at 1pm. It is shaping up to be a fantastic event with a BBQ, Music, Tombola, Plant Sale, Raffle and more.

I thought you'd like to know the total made at the clutter sale was £1500.47 which was brilliant. It just tops off our last few weeks, as we were honoured to be invited to the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace. This was a special occasion for both ourselves and GEMS charity.

will be holding a table-top sale on Saturday 13 June in Kibworth Village Hall LE8 0LN. From 10am - 12.45. There will be a good variety of stalls including home-made wooden goods, craft stalls, hand-made cards, jewellery, knitted and crochet goods, including lots of assorted home-made items, jigsaws, books, pre-loved clothes, a raffle and lots more.

Twenty years ago in January 2006, a founder shared her vision of praying for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for the whole of Lent at a local service. This crazy idea sparked a group of people from both churches in Kibworth to work towards making it a reality. After 40 days, it became clear that the vision couldn’t end there. Five of the 13 people had the same vision of a permanent place in Kibworth. Aa place of prayer plus a coffee shop, a safe place for young and old. Properties became available, but which one was the right one? Confirmation came through the revelation that there was a well in the garden – hence the name The Well.
